The title of this blog comes from a Gaelic expression -"putting on the poor mouth"-which means to exaggerate the direness of one's situation in order to gain time or favour from creditors.

Ted and Bebe
The sticker may say fragile but Bebe isn't
Ted's face is full of hope for a happy 2007 for all... that or the turkey my mum gave me
We give the turkey carcass to the feral cats and it gets picked clean in a couple of hours. If there are kittens, things get really ugly because they will fend off the bigger cats until they have had their fill. That's when you can really see the connection between the "domestic" cat and lions.
I generally put out canned cat food that says turkey on the label for Thanksgiving and Christmas, but it never gets the reaction reserved for a real carcass.
[I've always felt that putting fragile on a package just makes it a target.]
Bebe and Ted appear to have weathered the holiday with aplomb.
The kittens are that aggressive Bryan? Wow! One of our cats was feral - we got Bebe after she was taken in with her first litter. Nobody wanted her except us and after a month of TLC she became a loving, if a little timid, housecat.
Watching Robyn who is usuallly a gentle giant when turkey is in the offing also reminds how close Felis fattus is to a wildcat!

Ted's face is definitely full of turkey. Once you give 'em turkey, it's all over!
